Los defensores de CELHP apelaron la denegaci\u00f3n ante MassHousing, con la esperanza de convencer a un oficial de audiencias de que dejara a la madre y al hijo vivir juntos en el apartamento. Con el inicio del invierno, los defensores le dijeron a Sarah que se quedara en su apartamento y permitiera que su hijo se quedara con ella hasta que el oficial de audiencias tomara una decisi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Mientras tanto, el personal de CELHP reuni\u00f3 expedientes extensos para anteponerse al comentario negativo del arrendador de Allan. Los expedientes demostraban que, de hecho, Allan hab\u00eda cumplido la mayor parte del tiempo con los pagos de su alquiler. Despu\u00e9s de una defensor\u00eda prolongada, el oficial de audiencias decidi\u00f3 que el arrendador deb\u00eda permitir que el hijo de Sarah viviera con ella.
